Step 1 - Select your charger.

Whether you’re looking for city thrills or big adventures, there’s an EO home charger made for you. If you’re a UK-based driver looking to claim the OZEV grant (reducing the overall cost and installation of charger by £350) then we’d recommend the EO Mini Pro 2.

Step 2 - Provide your details.

To start your application, all you need to provide is your name and contact details. We’ll then send you a link to your application form via email and SMS – this a unique link which means you can easily pick-up your form where you last left off.

It’s here that you’ll be introduced to one of our Home Install managers who will support you through the process to install day. We believe that people come first, technology after, so you will be able to pick up the phone and chat with them at any point.

Step 3 - Complete our online survey.

On average, it takes 25 minutes to complete our online application process. Before we can provide you with a final quote, we’ll need to learn more about your home, your energy use and where you plan for the charge point to be installed. You will need a smartphone or tablet device (with built-in camera) to take photos at certain steps.

Step 4 - Approve your quote.

Once you’ve submitted your application form, we will connect you to an EO Approved Installer who will carry out a remote desktop survey before providing a quote.

Once the quote has been approved, our recommended partner will get in touch to find a date and time that suits you best.

Step 5 - Install day.

Installation of your EO home charge point is included in the quote provided by one of our approved partners. All EO Approved Installers are accredited electricians with extensive experience in installing electric vehicle charge points. A standard installation will take around 4 hours (we know your time is precious) and the power to your home will be turned off for around 30 minutes.

Once the installation has been completed, your EO Approved Installer will give you a short demonstration on how the product works. If you’ve opted for a smart charger your installer will connect it to your Wi-Fi and pair it with the EO Smart Home app.

Home Install FAQs

+ What’s included in a standard installation?

Our standard installation package covers the majority of homes in the UK and includes the following:

- Fitting of the charger on a suitable permanent structure (e.g. a brick or plaster wall).
- Routing of the cable through a single wall of up to half a metre thickness.
- Up to 15 metres of cable, run and neatly clipped to the wall between the consumer unit and the charge point (up to a height of up to 1.8m).
- All electrical connections at the origin of the supply and charger.
- Supply and installation of a Garo device with built in RCBO or equivalent.
- Up to 3 metres of plastic conduit or trunking to conceal interior wiring.
- Electrical testing and NICEIC certification.
- Demonstration of the charger functions and the EO Smart Home app.

+ How long does it take to complete the application form?

On average, our application process takes 25 minutes. We recommend having a smartphone or table device (with built-in camera) available to ensure you can take photos of application information. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a professional photographer or a qualified electrician to complete the form.

+ What will I need to complete the application form?

You will need the following to complete our Home Install application form:

- Evidence of off-street parking. Download example
- Photo of preferred location for charge point. Download example
- Photo of incoming electricity supply. Download example
- Photo of consumer unit. Download example
- Photo of gas main bonding. Download example
- Photo of water main bonding. Download example
- Site plan with measurement’s (Don’t worry, a rough sketch will do). Download example
- MPAN – usually found at the top of your utility bill. What is this?
- Proof of vehicle ownership or your vehicle’s order confirmation. What are these?
- If you own a company car, you will need a 'Company Car/Salary Sacrifice Letter' (Annex I letter). What is this? Download template

+ Are there any additional charges?

Any additional charges will be outlined in your final quote which you will receive within 3-5 working days of your application being sent to an EO Approved Installer. Additional charges are only incurred for anything not considered a standard install.

+ How long until my charger is installed?

Our aim is to have an EO charger installed at your home within 3 weeks of you submitting your application. This can vary on a case by case basis and our Home Install team will provide you with a detailed timeline at the very start.

+ Who at EO Charging has access to my data?

Our Development team use charging data for diagnostic purposes.

Our Support Team may access your data in the event of a fault.
